Mother's Day and then some..

HELLO!

Well, if you havent been on Facebook, you are kind of out of the loop, we are having a baby and it is a GIRL! and her name will be Stella Marie, and she will be the most precious baby girl ever, well next to myself ofcourse! haha.

I am choosing to have what is called a VBAC, vaginal birth after cesarean, if at all possible! Because with my back fusion I am not able to have an epidural or a spinal block for a cesarean.  Here now you can see why..

That was all done in 3 separate surgeries, from December 2000 to December 2002.

So the normal low back pain most Mom's experience in there 3rd Trimester is MAGNIFIED in my back.. Thank goodness I have a team of people to help me, 2 awesome Massage Therapist friends and a Chiropractor! My challenge these next weeks is to stay active, to get in the pool to walk and stretch. I started icing this week daily, which does help, I am trying to limit the tylenol just because I know any dose I take is too much for Baby Stella, so if i can limit it to 2 or 3 times a week, I feel I am doing quite well.

It is great to be out of the first trimester, with feeling nauseous, the 2nd trimester was probably the best cause she hadn't pushed out enough to offset my normal balance, and I seemed to have most of my energy back. unlike today, i feel exhausted, even though I slept pretty well, and already took a morning nap.

My back is typically something I choose NEVER to complain about, because its just how it goes, and its been just over 12 years since my last surgery, and all seems solid. Distraction can be a great thing.


We have a BABY SHOWER coming up, I am getting very excited for it! It is just always so fun to see and talk to everyone and celebrate a new baby :)

On a side note, This weekend i think will always be bittersweet for me, Mother's Day.. for obvious reasons, and May 11th is the anniversary of when one of my great, amazing, spectacular friends was murdered. So in tribute to both of these amazing women I had in my life, both for way too short of a time, here are a couple pictures, to refect on them and celebrate the life they did have, and how they rocked it! Miss my Mom! Miss you Asia! Love you both!
